Jessie,

** UPDATE: in addition to you, Jason Hubbell & your mom have read this letter. I had to do something to move forward. **

I’ve spent almost a year working for you independently now. Ultimately, I want to work with you on that next big thing. What that is matters less than why, which revolves around who. You are the who; you are my main objective.

WHY YOU:

Good question… I’m starting to wonder why I’m still hanging around, trying to help… I used to dig who you really are, the psychological components you’re comprised of – your work ethic, drive, love for dogs, attitude, perseverance, desire for more. Those attributes are infectious.

Romanticized notions of the Alaskan wilderness don’t interest me much, but people pursuing excellence do. I used to think you were one of those people – those pursuing excellence… am I wrong?

I try to surround myself with people better than me. There’s comfort knowing I’m the least qualified person in the room – it’s my biggest opportunity to grow. You are untouchable, unattainable. No one on this planet can do what you do.

WHY ME:

Living-

Not sure if you believe me, but we really do have some core lifestyle choices in common. My life is pretty simple; been in a tiny house that my husband and I custom designed and (he) built from scratch. Hard work and manual labor don’t scare us. I’ve never been into obtaining an abundance of stuff; I’d much rather see and experience all parts of this earth than have a bunch of possessions.

Tiny living isn’t recognized in most of the States. We’re constantly toting legal lines and challenging the status quo. That said, I much prefer the trials and hardships that come from living this way than the restraints strangling “normal” America.

Dogs-

Caring for dogs is in my DNA. I grew up with them, worked with them, chose them as my children. My blood runs part canine.

Always had a deeper connection with animals than humans because they look at me without stereotype. I love anyone who loves dogs more than people, and those are few and far between. My dogs are beyond family to me. I’d give my life for Nikita.

Fit-

A “traditional” lifestyle is completely undesirable to me. It’s a struggle to have meaningful relationships with people enveloped in the broken systems of the normal world – we may have some minor things in common, but we just can’t see eye to eye on the major.

I don’t fit in a box. I’m a star peg living in this round world, ill-fitting but shining brightly. My psychological makeup is a dichotomous anomaly, made different on purpose. So I have a unique perspective – on people, relationships, creation, life – seeing things through a kaleidoscope.

Most of my life is behind the scenes. I don’t update personal social media accounts; I don’t post selfies. Except for a small town in Oregon where I grew up, nobody really knows me. I have no problem being in the spotlight. It’s just that I don’t need to be. I can be the voice of a story; I don’t have to be the face.

Work-

I’m a business owner, going on 16 years; self-employed, working remote, I call the shots on what I do. My main area of expertise and working weapon: words. Where boats, sleds, chainsaws, and UTVs are your most valuable tools, pen, paper, computers, and cameras are mine. I’m a versatile writer, amateur photographer, seasoned small business consultant, and avid entrepreneur.

My husband, Jasen, is an artist. We ran a woodworking business (furniture, cabinets, sawmill) for many years, then switched gears to the more lucrative world of tattoos. He’s the tattoo artist and I run the business, everything from customer acquisition and scheduling to digital marketing and web development. We’ve gotten to where running the business is nearly automatic, requiring minimal time and effort. I’ve learned what’s most effective in branding and communication and have coached several other business owners.

THE WHAT:

On Life Below Zero, viewers witness the physical work required to get the payoff. I’m more interested not on the outside work but the labor required from within. While you demonstrate grit, ruggedness, sheer will, even obsession, you can’t help but exude peace, gratitude, hope, and purpose. There’s a deeper story in there. I want to learn it. I want to write it.

End result could be a book, an event, a new business strategy, a consistent source of digital communication. Could be anything. All of the above. Depends on where you want to take things. The ultimate product would be a molded creation based on intense collaboration between the two of us.

You’re on track to win the Iditarod in 2024… I was right about you not winning this last year (see the email I sent for verification). I want to be the one to capture your winning moments and write a book on your first Iditarod win! Not sure if I can work with you at all anymore. You refuse to communicate.

WHY NOW:

Four years ago, you started a new chapter in Brushkana. Another chapter is coming. You have tens of thousands of followers RIGHT NOW who are waiting, wanting more, craving the kind of attention you can’t give them on your own. They are actually starting to leave because you aren’t taking responsibility for your social status and global influence.

I have no problem receiving rejection – had plenty in my life so far. But I enjoy winning more than I fear losing, so I’m gonna keep pushing until you actually tell me “no.”

I’m always up for an adventure. I live for change, not stagnancy. Your desire to move forward is deeply shared. If you move forward with me, you’ll go farther faster.

WHAT NEXT:

I don’t even know what to say anymore… I’ve made you a couple websites, I’ve purchased 6 domains on your behalf, I’ve secured the best usernames/handles for your Instagram and Facebook pages, I’ve sent you cash for your marathon run and ACE race… I did all of it for free and all without your acknowledgement or appreciation.

I can easily help increase your income by $40,000… $50,000… $60,000 or more. Year after year. And you literally just have to talk to me and let me in. Only fools leave a FREE GIFT sitting on the table while they go out and work hard all day. Jessie… you’re being a fool.

A joining of our passions and merging of our talents would be exceedingly prosperous. I can’t do what you do, and you can’t do what I do. Let’s join forces. NOW!

I designed this web page so you can comment below. I’ll receive it and reply. Or, of course, you can call or text me. You have my number. Whatever is easiest for you.
